Couples Counselling

These are some of the complaints we hear from couples: “We’re not communicating.” “We’re fighting more often.” “We’re not as close as we used to be.” Other issues experienced by couples may include the following:

• Marriage and family issues
• Parenting issues
• Sexual issues
• Affairs
• Cross-cultural (race, sexual/gender identity)
• Destructive habits
• Repetitive fighting, arguments
• Negative communication patterns
• Mid-life crisis

We support couples who are wanting to get their relationship back on track, who desire to create new vitality in their lives together, or who are simply questioning if they are suited for each other.

Our aim is to help couples in their journey towards cultivating a spiritually rich and more conscious relationship. Sessions are generally pro-active, incorporating exploration of each individual’s past wounds, as well as facilitation of dialogue techniques, communication skills, and homework.

Fee: $130 including HST per session. The first session is a 1.5 hour session, and following sessions are generally 50 minutes. We also offer sliding scale fees and try our best to accommodate your financial situation.

Integral Counselling BC also offers couples counselling with two participating counsellors, as well as couples group therapy where you can share experiences and learnings in a supportive group environment (see "Groups" page).

We regularly present couples/relationship workshops (see "Presentations & Workshops" page), and also provide individual couples workshops. Our format for the latter includes a preliminary 90-minute assessment session followed by a customized couples workshop based on the specific needs of the couple.
